IJRU welcomes Dr. Mitra Rouhi as new board member

Dr. Mitra Rouhi is the founder and President of the Iranian Rope skipping Association under the umbrella of Iran’s Sport for All Federation and Ministry of Sport. Her activity is focused on the development of jump rope/rope skipping and using the potential of this sport to increase physical activity.

She has also been a member of the TAFISA Board of Directors since 2005 and received the TAFISA World Award for the development of sport for all in 2002 and the Anita Ghosh Award for the development of women's sport for all in 2019.

Athlete Council elections update

We are currently preparing for the first IJRU Athlete Council elections. In order to vote in the election, you need to register to vote by completing our Voter Registration form. We encourage all eligible athletes to register and participate in the election. You are eligible to vote if you:

  • Are 16 years of age or older,

  • Have competed in a past FISAC-IRSF or WJRF world championships or if you’ve qualified for the upcoming 2021 IJRU Virtual World Championships,

  • Are a member in good standing with your National Governing Body

It is important for all eligible IJRU athletes to vote because:

  • If you don't vote, you’ll let others make the decision about who will be the athlete representatives in the sport

  • It gives you an opportunity to be a part of the decision-making that effects your sporting and non-sporting life on an international level.

This committee will be liaising directly with IJRU to ensure that concerns of all athletes world-wide are addressed. As an IJRU athlete, you should care about who will be speaking on your behalf.

World Championships registration is due June 1

Deposits are due for the IJRU Virtual World Championship Series on June 1, 2021. Please make sure that your National Governing Body is following along with the registration schedule and deadlines. Each NGB will need to enter the number of athletes and judges into the IJRU registration system by June 1, 2021.

Jump rope commercial strategy survey

IJRU has begun working with sport industry experts to develop a sponsorship strategy. We have decided to partner with Farrell Sports Worldwide to help develop a global sponsorship strategy that will enable IJRU to promote and develop the sport at the global level.

Your feedback from this survey will help IJRU better understand its members, partners and fans. This survey will aid the sport in our strategy to grow corporate partners, media partners and commercial activity for the sport. This survey should take approximately 10-15 minutes to complete and at the end you can have a chance to win prizes from the IJRU. All responses will remain anonymous.

IJRU event calendar

IJRU is in the process of developing an event calendar that will outline when major international events will take place over the next four years. This will help our members and continental organizations prepare for upcoming events. Each NGB, can send representatives to the IJRU NGB Boot Camp where we will announce our event calendar.

Privacy Policy

The Board of Directors approved a Privacy Policy for IJRU. This policy outlines how personal information is collected and stored by the International Jump Rope Union and ensures that we protect the privacy of individuals who register for IJRU events. Please review the Privacy Policy for more information.
